my latest guilty pleasure: pigs in a blanket

guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. The “guilt” involved is sometimes simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes. (Wikipedia)

Mine….mini pigs in a blanket.  I had been craving them all week.  Just wrap some Lit’l Smokies with some crescent roll dough and bake until the dough is golden.  Serve with some mustard and ketchup.  That’s it.

What’s yours?

I had some crescent roll dough and Lit’l Smokies left over so I made crescent roll egg cups for my breakfast this morning. Now I’m fortified for my day of shopping.  HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!!

P.S.   I do love the lit’l things in life…

  1. I… I… I love Egg McMuffins (no meat, tons of ketchup and gross black pepper packets) — they’re so terrible and gross but I eat one for breakfast every Sunday morning because I can’t help myself. I’M SO ASHAMED.

  2. Would that any of my edible favorites be highbrow enough that I could then choose one to be low brow and therefore guilty. That said chili cheese tater tots with Texas Pete and sour cream rank high on my list.

    • Oooh, my mom used to make me scrambled egg and vienna sausage for breakfast and I’d douse it with ketchup. Then, she went “gourmet” and started making spam and eggs.

    • I used to love eating White Cheddar Cheez-Its on my way home from my long commute. I’d leave them in the car all day so they were warm from the sun and a little “melty.”
